I do not know why exactly, but I was convinced that medieval festivals and similar are only held in Europe. In any case it seems that was funny, with many different attractions.
It is a festival, but not really celebrating anythng in particular. Their is a group called the Society for the Creative Anachronism, whcih used to sponsor these. Not sure who sponsored this one. Highland games and Celtic Festivals are also very popular in the U.S., and we've attended some of those too.
Excellent costumes.
