Carnivorous plant

Last year we picked up some sort of a pitcher plant. We don't know the variety, so I took a few images to share with an expert. I'll put what ever I find out in the comments.

May Birthdays

Three of us have end of April or Early May Birthdays, so we threw a party of all three of us.

The cake reads Happy Birthday Dahl, Kathleen and Donald.

Growing tomatoes in Colorado

This is how you grow tomatoes in Colorado.

The plans grow inside of the shelters that use water to equilibrate the daily swings in temperature. Since tomatoes prefer hot weather, we are hoping this will help them grow. Also since we tend to get early freezes that kill all of our plants, we are hoping this these might allow us to push harvest into late September.

Moab Photo Symposium: Form and Pattern

Here is another shot from the Guy Tal workshop up Hunter's Canyon in Moab Utah. When we were let loose to shoot, I headed away from the crowd toward the canyon wall and found this great boulder with wonderful swirls and patters.

Moab Photo Symposium: Reflections

On Friday we took a workshop with Guy Tal and hiked up Hunters Canyon to shoot. On the way out, with the light fading, I passed by this wash and made a photograph.

Moab Photo Symposium

Kathleen waiting for sunset near balanced rock, in Arches National Park, Utah. The last two days there the clouds came in thick along the horizon near sunset, but this day looked like they might break. They didn't, but the sky was nice to the west.

Just got back from the 2014 Moab Photo Symposium. It was a great experience. Learned a lot. Still decompressing and absorbing everything we heard.
