We got a heavy spring storm snow storm last week. Here we are on our morning walk of the dog, taking some photos.

More a stump now than a tree

This was one of my favorite trees in our area. It was old and scared and gnarled. Slowly the city has been chopping away at it. It is now more of a stump than a tree. its former self is now only a memory.

A little Snow

Thirteen inches and still coming. Its not unusual to have heavy storms in the spring.

The dog doesn't seem to know what to do with all of this snow. He doesn't want to stay out in it

Motion

My recent trip to the Rocky Mountain Railroad Museum was to attend a workshop with local photographer Eli Vegi. Eli promotes what he calls "Right Brain Photography." This is an example of that sort of thinking, by adding motion to a static object, in this case a locomotive wheel, to give it life.

Coors Train

A day of photographing at the Colorado Railroad Museum in Golden Colorado. It had just snowed, so the grounds were covered in fluffy snow.

The Coors plant is just a few miles away and the museum got a handful of their cars and an engine. All decorated in Coors logos and signage.
