Last Squirrel

Wet Plate Collodion Process

At this weekend's Lafayette Peach Festival one of the venders set up a "mobile" lab making images by Wet Plate Collodion photography which is a civil War era process that produces photographic images on metal plates. Notice the brace behind the woman's head. It was there to maximize sharpness due to blur from head motion and to keep the subject's head from moving outside of the camera's depth of field.

Monster Zucchini

These Zucchini are larger than cucumbers. Went out of town for a week and the Zucchini doubled in size. Because they have gotten so large, Kathleen is going to make Zucchini Parmesan out of them.

Heart Shaped Tomato

From this year's garden. The plants started producing this month. Unfortunately this being Colorado we'll get our first freeze sometime in September.

Flower detail
