Denver's National Western Stock Show

A contrast in cows.

Here we have a Texas Long Horn. Pretty much as close to a wild cow as you are going to find.

Here's another one. A cow with an attitude.

Compare this with the cow below. A french cow. Notice the square shape of this animal. Its been bread to have the shape of a refrigerator box.

Also had goats and pigs.

  1. Gosh, I wouldn't want to get anywhere near that longhorn! The goat is so cute in her/his purple coat!

Having lived in a huge city all my life, I'm fascinated by how the cows look so different from each other. And these are just two! All the cows I see in our provinces look the same, and definitely different from these.

  2. We have so many different types of cows here, because we brought them from all parts of the world; though mostly Europe.

The goats/sheep have coats because their wool has been shorn for the season.

The prize winning sheep sold for $32,000, which was totally amzing to me!
