This is actually a photo from Springtime, and our First trip to Mt Evans in 2009. Spring meant June in this case, as the road is only open from Memorial Day to Late September.
Gosh you banner photo is nice. And the post photo is too. It really looks cold there.
ReplyDeleteThank you.....I decided that I wanted to blog about the lifestyle here, and not just post Artsy photos (as on my other blog). So I started this one.
ReplyDeleteMt Evans is still pretty cold, even in June. And usually freezing temperatures high winds at the summit.
I doubt that I will ever snow shoe up there in the winter. That's the only way up after September.
Mt Goliath is part of the ridge that you drive along to get to Mt Evans. The Bristlecone Pine Forest is located here.
