The Apex "Ghost Town" & #WednesdayWindows

Tomorrow you'll see Thursday Doors posted here.  But let's start with the Mine and a few Windows:

First, what's left of the mine entrance.  It has been collapsed to keep people out.  And the foundations of the old mine office remain........

But this is still  an active claim, as a new 'mine office' sits up on the hill:

#WednesdayWindows : Mission San Juan Capistrano

Old Mission San Juan Capistrano:

And the Story behind the photo.  I liked the lighting coming through the window.  But the room itself was a ruin.  So I set up my tripod and my Mamiya 645 to capture the window.  Other Tourists saw what I was doing and assumed that the must be something exciting in this room.  They crowded around me, but were disappointed.  The was only the Light!

#WednesdayWindows : Windows & Walls

Windows open the world to us.  But there may be Walls blocking the way!

Don't let the Walls Stop You!  Go around them, climb over them, or if necessary go through them!

#WednesdayWindow A Bit Disoriented

Today we visit Garnet,  a Montana Ghost Town.  Very well preserved. The Gold ran out after only 10 years.  This view from the Garnet Hotel......

Usually I would have straightened the photo, but the door and window have different angles.  And the times we are living in feel distorted and disoriented anyway.....
