Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception

Interior of the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in downtown Denver. I was especially taken with the reflection on the white marble floor. We only had thirty minutes to photograph, I could have taken a few hours.

  1. That's very beautiful. I would guess it is also uncommon to have such a structure in Colorado. Our daughter lives between Canon City and Salida and most of the churches there look like old barns.

  2. Actually Denver has two other "Cathedrals" that I can think of off the top of my head. In addition to this one there is St. Johns and Central Presbyterian. Outside of Denver I think you are correct. Although the Air Force academy in Colorado Springs is pretty spectacular.
