Moose
Saw this Moose along Geneva Creek, near Guanella Pass, Colorado. The area has been turned into a bog by beaver dams, making it ideal habitat for this lone Moose.
Moose, Deer and Elk all lose their antlers late in the Winter. Now it is time for this male to grow new antlers that will show how big and healthy he is; and allow for fighting during the Fall mating season.
What does it mean when a moose doesn't have antlers? Is this one young?
