Last fall we planted some Red Bells Pasque Flower (Pulsatilla vulgaris Rote Glocke) in the front yard. It typically comes up at Easter. This one did exactly that. This was another test for the Sony A6000 and macro lens.

A trip to the plant store
This weekend we went to Lafayette Florists to select seedlings for our vegetable garden. I decided to bring along a new "pre-owned" camera to test. I especially wanted to try out the 1:1 macro lens. I'm happy with the results.

Wasn't able to identify this guy. It looks a little like an Euphorbia horrida, but none of the images I've found are close enough to be certain.

Glowing succulents
One afternoon I noticed how the setting sun lit up a planter of succulents we had just gotten. I liked how it made the pedal glow and really brought out the reds and greens.
