"All About Owls" Seminar at the Raptor Education Foundation in Brighton CO. We got to meet and photograph five birds. Typically when I shoot this sort of subject I rely on the "spray and pray" strategy. The downside of which is figuring out what images I like out of the 220 I took that evening.
The first cut is any image that doesn't have perfectly sharp eyes.
That still leaves a lot of shots that are almost identical.
Second cut is a bad exposure or pose.
Unfortunately even after that I've still got 80% of my original selection remaining.
I think this guy was my favorite of the bunch. He was very expressive.
This is a beautiful bird.
