Che' Cafe

Went back to San Diego for a friend's wedding over the holidays. Decided to check out a few of the old landmarks on the UCSD campus.

The Che' Cafe was a hang out for the more "leftist" of the student body. The cafe part was intermittent, but the site acted as a meeting place. The school administration had been trying to shut it down since the early 80's. They succeeded in 2016 under the argument of health code violations. Somehow it managed to persist an extra 30 years.
