We've had a beautiful, although dry, spring here, and it has motivated me to get out into the yard rather than spending time blogging.
About a month ago I saw an article about self-watering planter boxes. Since we spent a lot of time last summer watering the summer vegetables, I thought it would be worth the trying one of these planters for this summers crop.
Here is the finished box, with squash seedlings already in place. It was constructed out of cedar 2x4's and 2x6's. Over the next week, I'll share my experience building them.
