Flower opening

Here's another flower from the front yard. It starts as a wound cylinder and slowly relaxes into a standard flower shape. I thought this stage of its development was the most interesting. 

Estes Elk

Here are a few of the many Estes Park Elk. They're like squirrels in that it is pretty easy to find some most days. They've been known to wander into the town of Este's Park and plan them selves in the center of town. They are wonderful to watch nonetheless. 

Eggplant

Our first eggplant has appeared. As I watch it grow, I can't help but think it looks 

far too much like one of the pod people from Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
