Thermal Image of the dog

Took a shot of the dog with the new SeeK thermal camera. Curious how his head is significantly warmer than his body. I guess that should be surprising since he is a snow dog. 

 These thermal cameras should not be confused with our IR converted cameras. The IR converted cameras only see in the near Infrared part of the spectrum. That's basically the light just beyond what we can see in the red direction. To actually image head requires reaching much further into the IR spectrum.

Thermal Camera

We got a new toy. A thermal imager that connects to our cell phone. We looked at the FLIR products first, but they were mostly compatible with Apple phones. So then we found SeeK, and it claimed to be Android friendly. Turns out that its strictly true. This device won't work with either of our Nexus phones, but it will work with my old Moto G.

A new roof

Had some hale damage to our roof a month ago. The roofing company came out a week ago today to stage all of the shingles and other supplies.
