I was out a few weeks ago looking for things to shoot for a class I'm taking. This got me exploring roads I hadn't bothered going down before. Found this at the end of one of those roads. Liked the collection of forms it made.

I'm working on a project where I photograph places that would normally be filled with people, but are empty. This is a hockey rink in a nearby town.

 

Silos

A collection of grain silos that were part of a feed store at the edge of Lafayette. These silos are all that is left of the store. The main building was recently torn down to make way for more houses.

Roundhouse

Interior shot of the old railroad roundhouse in Como Colorado. Once a year they open all of the historic buildings. Lots of great things too photograph.

The Shed

The Shed is a little restaurant off of the main plaza in Santa Fe. I liked the feeling of the court yard seating area. Reminded me of the french quarter in New Orleans.

Walking along Palace Ave around the Santa Fe plaza, I came across this interesting fountain in the front yard of a business. Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Loretto Chapel

I was recently in Santa Fe for a business trip and made the effort to photograph around the plaza at the end of the day. This is the Historic Loretto Chapel. The chapel was closed so I couldn't photograph the unique stairs within and instead focused on the exterior. I thought the harsh lighting of the evening gave the facade great texture.
