Another Snowpocalypse

Andy inspects our back yard after last night's snow dump. About 3 more inches are expected later this afternoon and into the evening.

Blizzard at Waneka Lake in IR

Playing some more with the IR conversion camera. This time along the Waneka Lake look trail during this weekend's blizzard.

Storm Clouds in IR

Took the dog to the dog park on Friday to burn off some energy. Decided to bring the IR camera with me to see how the clouds would look. Need to do some work to bring out the clouds a bit more, but here is a quick pass at it.

Rocky Mountain Gold

Gnarled Tree

This is my favorite tree in the open space around Lake Waneka. The snow and mist from today's storm made a more moody setting to make this IR image.

It snowed quite a bit this AM, so I decided to take the IR conversion out and see what I could find.

Two slightly different views of the same barn

I pass this barn almost every day coming home from work. I've meant to stop and shoot for months now, but there has always been too much traffic on the road at the end of the day when the light is best. With the snow storm, the light was flat all day, so I could visit the location in the middle of the day and shoot without becoming a hood ornament on some motorist's vehicle.

I'm not exactly happy with either crop. I should have tried something in the middle of the two. I may later try cropping these and seeing how they look.

Vanishing Point

This one is from even further back, during one of our first real storms of the winter in October. The snow on the asphalt adds an interesting granularity to the image that complements the grain.

Denver Union Station

I took about a dozen rolls of 120 B and W film since mid-November, but I'm just now getting a chance to review it. Here is an image I made of the new Union Station from the middle of November.
