Its hard to do something different with a sunset, but I think the trick is to use the light, but not the form of the setting sun.

Station landscape
The new station terminal is visually very dramatic. I tried to capture that with this image.
New Denver Union station terminal train platform.

Tacks and Reflection
Another shot of the tracks at the new Union Station platform in Denver, Colorado. In this one I took advantage of the reflection in the glass.
I've presented two versions of the scene. Not sure which I like most. The top has the nice blurred figures walking by, the the lower image has a longer lead in.

New tracks
Union Station in Denver has just completed a complete renovation of the terminal. The old terminal building remains, but a new modern stylistic concourse has been added.

New Union Station Sign
Union Station Denver Colorado. I'm not certain what it means that the Union station Sign is missing both of the letter "T"s. The rest of the station seems to be in food repair.

Winter is Coming
The historic town of St. Elmo is located in the mountains west of Buena Vista.
The Stark family were part of St. Elmo's elite, a high-class group that attended church regularly. Anna was said to have been a humorless woman who severely controlled the children, believing that they were better than the other townsfolk - miners, railroad men, prostitutes and hard women. The children were rarely allowed to leave home, forbidden to attend local dances or social activities and had only each other for company. In 1890 a fire destroyed the business section and the town was never entirely rebuilt.
The survival of the town was largely due to the Stark family and their descendents, who remained the sole year-round residents for many years. According to local legend, perhaps at least one of them, Annabelle Stark, still keeps a ghostly watch over the town. (source)

Georgetown Lockdown...
Some sorry souls have decided that they have the right to steal flags. Special targets are MIA Memorials, because many of these flags have been flown over outposts in Iraq or Afghanistan....So now the hoisting mechanisms have to be locked down...
To Keep Our Flags Flying High!

Sunset Reflection
Here are two takes on a tree reflecting in Lake Waneka. Not certain which one I prefer.
Although I'm leaning toward the horizontal composition.

Final Harvest
The final harvest of the season.
Got a hard frost over the weekend and everything except the greens, has died.
