Happy Halloween

Some fun from this year's Denver Zombie crawl. Jack Skellington from Nightmare before Christmas.

A Zombie cyclist. The best kind! Oh so appropriate for Boulder county.

Zombie's aren't just for urban folk.

Leaf

Unfortunately the depth of field is too short on this, but what really attracted me to this image is the variation of color invading the surface of the leaf.

Denver after Dark: Wells Fargo building Parking Garage

Across the street from the Wells Fargo building, is a wonderful parking garage with an interesting geometric facade. Another illegal photograph according to Wells Fargo.

Denver after Dark: Wells Fargo Tower

Took CPAC's Denver after Dark workshop a few weeks back. It was a great opportunity to wander around downtown Denver and the Denver business district at night within the safety of a group. Strangely we felt safest within dark alleyways and secluded streets. We were confronted numerous times by self-important security guards who tried to bully us into believing that we were not allowed to photograph their buildings from public sidewalks, something we later had refuted by a Denver PD officer. According Wells Fargo this is is an illegal photograph.

Flower in the snow

Friday's snow took a toll on the flower in the front yard. They clearly weren't ready for winter.

Snow comes to the front range

The first snow of the season has come to the front range. Really not much more than a heavy dusting, it melted almost instantly upon touching the pavement, but the cold snap last night and tonight should just about finish off all of the garden.

Old and new technology

Looking back toward George town from the road to Guanella Pass. In the foreground are the ruins of a mining plant next to the towers feeding Denver power from the nearby hydroelectric plant.

Flower in the snow

Delicate flowers like these won't survive our temperatures dropping down into the low 20's overnight.
