FYI City Daily Photo Theme for October.......Sillouette

The City Daily Photo Blog Theme Day for October is nearly upon us. Have you, as yet, given some thought to your interpretation of our theme, ‘Silhouette’? There are a number of meanings to this word, and there is no need to feel restricted to the meaning in the English language. Synchronization

For about 40 minutes, once every two minutes, the balloons would trigger their burners, producing a roar and lighting up their balloons. There was an attempt to synchronize everyone, but that only happened about half the time.

Once the balloons are inflated enough its time to light the burners. Each time they trigger the burners, the balloon lights up like a light bulb.

We went to the Colorado balloon classic "Balloon-Glo" this Labor Day Weekend. It was held at dusk in Colorado Springs.

The balloonists start by partially inflating their craft with giant fans.

This process takes quite some time.
